'Cloudy' sequel gets meaty mini-movies for Blu-ray

Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs 2 is cooking up a super-sized meal for its release on home video.

Four new mini-movies are among the slew of deleted scenes, making-of extras and other bonus features for the family-friendly animated sequel, which hits 3D Combo Pack, Blu-ray Combo Pack, DVD and digital on Jan. 28.

Cloudy 2 again stars Bill Hader as the voice of Flint Lockwood, who in the first film saved the world by stopping his invention that caused spaghetti tornadoes, a rainy torrent of cheeseburgers and other foodie disasters. But its destruction didn't take, and in the sequel Flint finds that its creating food animals รข?? or "foodimals" - such as tacodiles, cheespiders and shrimpanzees.

A quartet of mini-movies continue the adventure on the Blu-ray release: Steve's First Bath stars Flint's monkey pal (Neil Patrick Harris) and a monkey-cleaning invention that could use some improvements; Attack of the 50-Foot Gummi, which is pretty self-explanatory; Super Manny, where the cameraman (Benjamin Bratt) for Flint's girlfriend Sam (Anna Faris) is on the case of saving a kitten; and Earl Scouts, where a group of foodimals join the scouting program of Earl the town cop (Terry Crews).

Other bonus features include a look at the creation and animation of the foodimals, a Cody Simpson music video, a behind-the-scenes peek at the making of the end-credit sequence and a filmmaker commentary by directors Cody Cameron and Kris Pearn.
